Culprit Junior One kids’ bikes launched

Culprit is a brand new company based in Taiwan. They turned a few heads at the Eurobike cycle show in September with the Croz Blade, a disc-equipped aero road bike. The latest model in their range is aimed at kids, the new Junior One.

The Junior One has a frame made from 7005 triple butted aluminium with a matching fork, with internally routed cabling. Culprit have fitted a Shimano 105 groupset with Microshift levers. A Culprit 40/32 chainset keeps the gear ratios low and has short 140mm crank arms.

There’s a dash of carbon fibre with Culprit’s own seatpost and narrow 36cm handlebars with a short 60mm stem keeps the cockpit short and reachable. The seat post has a dual clamp so the position can be changed as the young cyclist grows. Brakes are TRP 820 and wheels are deep section, 40mm at the back and 30mm at the front.

Weight is important with kids bikes and Junior One weighs 7.9kg (17.4lb).
Culprit sell direct to customers worldwide. The Junior One is one offer for the New Year and costs $1,295 including shipping. Import taxes and duties aren’t though.
